Suspected rapist nabbed in Albay town

LEGAZPI CITY – A 44-year-old man wanted for rape was arrested by the police operatives in Polangui town, Albay on Monday night.

Gabriel Baynado was arrested by the police at his house in Barangay Agos at around 7:20 p.m., said Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

Police said Baynado was listed as the number eight most wanted person in the town and is facing three charges for rape filed at the Regional Trial Court Branch 12 in Ligao City.

The suspect did not resist arrest and is now detained at the town’s police headquarters.
