Cops nab 5 suspects for P3.4-M shabu in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — Police officers seized P3.4-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from five suspects during an anti-drug operation in Pasay City on Tuesday afternoon, the Metro Manila police said Wednesday.

In a report from the National Capital Region Police Office, the suspects were identified as Erwin Peredo, 29; Jairabelle Arandia, 24; Domingo Maglaque, 46; Carolina Peredo, 50; and Jericson Arandia, 20.

Elements of the Quezon City police station 4 and Pasay police station conducted the buy-bust operation inside an apartment in Barangay 166 in Malibay at 5:30 p.m.

Aside from crystal meth, also confiscated from the suspects were marked money worth P1,000; brown paper bag; boodle money worth P99,000; two belt bags; pouch; four cellphones; and a digital weighing scale.

The suspects are detained at the QC police station 4 while charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against them.
