Cops eye land dispute behind slay of 2 senior women in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Police investigators are looking at the angle that a land dispute may have triggered the fatal shooting of a mother and her daughter, who are both senior citizens, in Quezon City.

In an interview with INQUIRER.net, an official of the Quezon City police  said the dispute happened after the victims had sold their land in Samar for over P300 million.

“Initially, kakabenta ng lupa over P300 milyon sa Samar. Nagbenta [sila] ng lupa tapos nagkagulo,” police official said.
