Did You Know: 271,480 cases noted in first 8 months of 2019

According to the latest Department of Health data, a total of 271,480 dengue cases were reported nationwide in the first eight months of 2019 — from Jan. 1 to Aug. 31.

This was 113 percent higher than the 127,478 cases recorded during the same period in 2018. There have been 1,107 deaths due to dengue nationwide, according to the latest statistics.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
