Ombudsman clears Duty Free COO of graft
MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman has concluded its preliminary investigation into the plunder, graft and administrative charges filed against Duty Free chief operating officer (COO) Vicente Pelagio Angala and three corespondents and found no probable cause to charge them.
The complaint was initially lodged by 10 Duty Free employees.
They accused Angala and former COO Lorenzo Formoso, former human resources management division manager Roberto Policarpio and former physical distribution department manager Manolito Canlas of graft for allegedly having financial and pecuniary interest with DFP Services Inc., a former manpower service contractor of Duty Free.
