WATCH: Dog stuck on roof rescued by firefighter

A firefighter is being hailed a hero after he rescued a dog that had gotten stuck on the roof of a home in Pennsylvania, United States.

Once the fireman got on the roof, he picked up the animal with no trouble, as seen in a video posted on York City Department of Fire/Rescue Services’ Facebook page last Thursday, Feb. 13.

Crews on scene in the 700 block West Poplar St. for a public service. Personnel safely removed the dog from the roof.

Despite the footage not showing the fireman getting off the roof with the animal, the department stated that the rescue was a success.

Following the incident, some netizens have made light of the situation.

“Stinker went exploring [laughing emoji] glad he’s safely off the roof!” one Kat Dee said.

Meanwhile, another person expressed her gratitude for the firefighter’s actions.

“Thanks for taking the time to help an animal in need,” a certain Carrie Maul stated.

The department did not state how the animal had managed to get on the roof in the first place. JB
