CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said he would “vote according to conscience” when the matter of the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise reaches the upper House.

Go made the remarks after he led the groundbreaking rite for the establishment of an OFW (overseas Filipino workers) Hospital in Pampanga province on Tuesday here.

Solaire Resort and Casino’s corporate social responsibility arm Bloomberry Cultural Foundation is allocating P500 million for the project, while the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation is giving it P200 million.

Asked if his position was also the position of President Duterte, or if the latter has softened his position toward ABS-CBN, he said he could not speak for the President.

“If voting is done in Congress, I would vote according to conscience,” Go said.
