Guard admits role in burglary

A SECURITY guard admitted ment in the burglary of an establishment he was assigned to in barangay Cambaru, Mandaue City.

Police said Allan Cadivida of Lion Heart Security Agency admitted that he was one of three burglars who ransacked the Asia Trading Corp. located at A.C. Cortes Avenue last Monday.

Insp. Wilson Abot, chief of the Opao Police station, said Cadivida admitted his involvement in the burglary to his supervisor.

Abot said Cadivida was investigated after police suspected that the burglary was an inside job because there were indicators that the thieves were familiar with the establishment.

Police said Cadivida did not identify his cohorts. He was together with three suspects but didn’t reveal their identities.

Taken during the burglary were P24,000 cash, three laptops worth P73,000 and two cellular phones worth P3,000, said police.

Cadivida claimed that only P16,000 was taken from the establishment, said police.

Recovered from Cadivida were payslips of some workers and P2,000 cash./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
