Soldier nabbed for shabu in Leyte drug bust

ORMOC CITY –– A former soldier was arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Buenavista, Jaro town, in Leyte around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11.

Ernie Garrido allegedly sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a poseur-buyer, said Police Captain Edgardo De Asis, chief of the Jaro Police Station.


A body search conducted on the suspect yielded three sachets of shabu worth P21,000.

Charges for possession and selling of illegal drugs will be filed against the suspect who is detained at the Jaro Police Station./lzb
