Boy dies in Davao Occidental fire
STA. MARIA, Davao Occidental –– A 6-year old boy reportedly died in a fire that engulfed a residential house in Barangay Kisulad Proper here on Thursday, police said.
Corporal Jun Glee delos Nieves of the Sta. Maria police station identified the victim as Harry Jay Yalon Banuelos.
Nieves said Harry Jay’s older brother Richan Lee, 10, was cooking rice and fell asleep because of tiredness. He woke up to a fire already eating into their house.

Citing the account of Richan Lee, Nieves said Harry Jay cowered in fear and panicked upon seeing the flames and ran, instead, to his room.
