2 members of notorious Reyes Robbery group arrested in Cebu
MANILA, Philippines—Two alleged members of a group involved in several robbery and shooting activities were arrested Tuesday in Cebu City, Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Wednesday.
Cruz said Eric Borja Reyes and Edward Salig Teves, members of the Reyes Robbery group, were arrested by police along the junction of Escario and Juana Osmena streets in Capitol site village, Cebu City around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
He revealed Reyes and Teves were also involved in the shooting of Rubelito Narvasa at Macroville, Gorordo Avenue in Cebu City and robbery incident at Allure Hotel in Mandaue City and at Salvador Extension in Labangon village also in Cebu.
Recovered from the suspects were two .45-caliber pistols, four magazines with 24 rounds of live ammunition, four small sachet of white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, or “shabu,” several drug paraphernalia, assorted identification cards and passports of different personalities believed to be victims of the suspects, assorted clothes and shoes, and other personal belongings, he said.
Cruz said the suspects were under the custody of Cebu police.
