BEIJING — A heartwarming scene was recently seen on the streets of Florence, Italy.

A Chinese Italian who wore a face mask, with a placard reading “I am not a virus, I am a human” at his side, met with enthusiastic hugs of passers-by that showed no fear of the novel coronavirus which has been spreading in China.
