LUCENA CITY — At least three persons are being monitored by authorities in Quezon province as suspected carriers of novel coronavirus (nCoV) for showing signs of infection, the province’s top health official said Wednesday.

Dr. Grace Santiago, Quezon health officer, tagged the three as patients under investigation (PUI).

“These people being observed and investigated on have history of travels in listed watch-out countries,” Santiago said in an online interview Wednesday morning.

She did not provide other details about the three PUIs and just said they were confined in undisclosed hospitals.
