Over P200K worth ‘shabu’ seized from ‘big-time’ drug pusher in Lucena sting
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested another big-time drug pusher and seized P222,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation here Saturday night, report said Sunday.
Police drug enforcement unit operatives collared William Forbes, 57, after he sold shabu to a police agent in a transaction in Barangay (village) Ilayang Dupay around 6:30 p.m., Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.
Authorities seized eight plastic sachets of shabu weighing 40 grams worth P222,000 in the street market at the prevailing price of P5,550 per gram.
Police are investigating to determine the source of his meth.
Police tagged Forbes as a notorious shabu peddler who was also the source of street level drug pushers in the village and nearby areas.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
