Man shot dead in QC while asleep

A 34-year-old man was killed inside his house by two unidentified gunmen at Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, on Wednesday. According to a report from the Quezon City Police District, Vincent Rufino was asleep in his house at Phase 3 Block 7, Lupang Pangako, when two men barged in around 2 a.m.

A witness told the police she was awakened by the noise and found the intruders pointing a gun at her.

They went into the other room where the victim was sleeping and shot him repeatedly, killing him on the spot. The police said the incident remained under investigation. —Mariejo S. Ramos
