Military appointments bared

President Duterte has appointed former military chief Benjamin Madrigal Jr. to the governing board of the Philippine Coconut Authority. Madrigal was Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff from December 2018 to September 2019.

The Chief Executive also renewed the ad interim appointment of Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado, and promoted several police officials, including Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas, the director of the National Capital Region Police Office.

Also named were two new vice admirals of the Philippine Coast Guard: George Ursabia and Lyndon La Torre. —Julie M. Aurelio
