No 3rd chance for drug suspect who finished rehab in Virac

LEGAZPI CITY – A drug suspect who had undergone a rehab program and finished it was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Virac town, Catanduanes on Tuesday (Jan. 28).

Maj. Bon Billy Timuat, chief of Virac police, said Prince Gianan, 34, was arrested at the village of Gogon Sirangan past noon.

Timuat said Gianan had been enrolled in a community-based drug rehabilitation program in 2019.

“After graduating in the 6-month counselling sessions, he was still involved in illegal drug activities,” Tinuat said of Gianan.

Recovered from Gianan were two sachets of suspected shabu or crystal meth.
