MANILA, Philippines — There will be no expected weather disturbance by the end of January but northeast monsoon or Amihan will still affect the country, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Tuesday.

In a 4 p.m. weather update, state weather bureau’s weather specialist Raymond Ordinario said they have not monitored any typhoon that would enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

“Sa susunod na tatlo o ilang araw o hanggang sa katapusan ng Enero, walang inaasahang bagyo na mabuo o pumasok pa sa area of responsibility,” Ordinario said in a live video of Pagasa.

Ordinario also noted that northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains due to Amihan, Ordinario said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains caused by localized thunderstorms.
