PDEA takes custody of 2 minors caught in Kidapawan drug bust

KIDAPAWAN CITY—-Two minors, aged 16 and 17, are now in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after they were caught selling dried marijuana leaves in a buy-bust operation on Monday (Jan. 27) afternoon.

Regional PDEA spokesperson Kath Abad said the minors were arrested when they sold the dried marijuana leaves to an undercover agent.

When frisked, police and PDEA operatives found in the minors’ possession more marijuana leaves in 42 sachets. The total street value of the drugs seized was estimated at P20,000.

One of the minors also yielded sachets of suspected shabu, or crystal meth, worth at least P12,000, according to the PDEA.
