Party-list solon named as Benguet caretaker congressman
MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives has designated ACT-CIS Representative Eric Go Yap as caretaker of the congressional district of Benguet.
The designation comes after the death of Rep. Nestor Fongwan, known as “Action Man,” in December.
In a Facebook post, Yap thanked House leaders as well as those from northern Luzon who have expressed their support towards him.
(To our fellow Filipinos in Benguet, I am accepting this challenge with my whole heart and you can expect that I will be doing everything in my capability for you to continue experiencing the real public service.)
Yap is one of the representatives under ACT-CIS party-list who were elected in the May 2019 midterm elections.
