Did You Know: 3,011 leptospirosis cases recorded Jan-Nov 2019

According to the Department of Health, a total of 3,011 leptospirosis cases were reported nationwide from January to November 2019.

The figure is 41 percent lower than the 5,116 cases recorded during the same period in 2018.

A total of 314 deaths were reported nationwide due to leptospirosis from January to November last year, 104 of these in Metro Manila.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
