This early, the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) is reminding employers to pay correct wages to their workers on April 9, a double holiday, being Maundy Thursday and Araw ng Kagitingan.

In a post on its Facebook page on Friday, the Dole’s National Wages and Productivity Commission said those who do not work on April 9 would be entitled to 200 percent of their daily wage rate.

On the other hand, those who report to work on the same day are entitled to 300 percent of their daily wage rate. The post has since become viral.

At press time, it has been shared around more than 72,700 times, reacted upon more than 42,200 times and commented on more than 12,600 times on Facebook. —Jerome Aning
