Stop-and-go traffic scheme for Sto. Niño de Tondo Fiesta

MANILA, Philippines — A stop-and-go traffic scheme will be implemented on several roads in Manila on January 18 to 19 to make way for the celebration of the Sto. Niño de Tondo Fiesta 2020.

In an advisory, the Manila City government said the following roads will be affected by the event:

Lakbayan Festival (Jan. 18 8 a.m.)

The route starts from Church to Ylaya St., turn right to CM Recto Ave., then right to Asuncion St., left to Lakandula St., right to Wagas St., right to Moriones St. left to Juan Luna St., then make a U-turn at Pritil, right to Herbosa St., right to Velasquez St., left to Ugba St., left to F. Varona St., left to Perla St., right to Franco St., cross Moriones St., to J. Nolasco St., going back to the Church.

Fiesta Solemn Procession (Jan. 19 4 a.m.)

The route starts at Sto. Niño Church to Lakandula St., right to Asuncion St., right to Morga St., left to Juan Luna St., U-Turn Pritil, N. Zamora St. (Sande), right to Herbosa St., left to Franco St., right to Coral St., right to Sta. Maria/Yangco, left to Herbosa St., left to Velasquez St., left to Perla St., right to Sta. Maria St., cross to J. Nolasco St., left to Chacon St. to Church

Below is the re-routing of vehicles when the procession or activity is ongoing:

-All public utility jeepneys (PUJs) coming from Caloocan shall turn left to Tayuman St., then turn right to Dagupan St. to point of destination

-PUJs coming from Tayuman St. shall go straight to Capulong Road to make a U-turn at Raxabago St. to point of destination

-Vehicles intending to use Moriones St. shall go straight to R-10 to point of destination

-All vehicles meaning to use Lakandula, Asuncion, Sto. Cristo streets going to Divisoria area via Zaragosa St. shall turn right to Delpan St. to point of destination

-Vehicles coming from Infanta St. using Velasquez-Infanta Bridge going to (C-2) Capulong Road shall go straight to Honorio Lopez Boulevard to point of destination

-All vehicles coming from Vitas St. shall turn right to Jacinto Street to point of destination.
