More Luzon LGUs send donations to Taal volcano victims
CABARROGUIS, Quirino—The local governments of Quirino, Isabela, Bulacan and Pampanga provinces have sent out more donations to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption.
The Quirino Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office on Wednesday yet (Jan. 15) facilitated the delivery of food packs to evacuees in Batangas.
The Quirino provincial government also deployed personnel to help in search-and-rescue operations in Batangas.
Government social workers in Cagayan Valley region also donated 2,000 food packs to the evacuees.
In Bulacan, Gov. Daniel Fernando led a team that distributed 5,000 food packs and medical supplies to Batangas evacuees.
Fernando also donated a P1-million check to the Batangas provincial government.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Pampanga, Gov. Dennis Pineda on Thursday (Jan. 16) said the provincial government has deployed five trucks carrying 30,000 food packs.
The local government of Candaba town, also in Pampanga, donated hygiene kits and packs of rice and clothes.
