LOOK: Taal Volcano island 2 days after eruption

BATANGAS, Philippines —  It was the first time for Ronnie Barrion and his brothers to return to Barangay Calauit in Balete, Batangas (volcano island) on Tuesday morning since they evacuated last Sunday when Taal volcano erupted. Nothing is left. The ash had blanketed almost the entire island–houses buried, animals dead, coconut trees spliced into halves. They were just there to salvage whatever’s left of their personal belongings and farm animals.
