A suspected burglar had no choice but call the police for help, after he got stuck under a pile of tires inside a tire shop he allegedly broke into.
Police believe 30-year-old Nathaniel King was attempting to rob a tire shop in Georgia, United States, as per ABC-affiliate WSB-TV on Jan. 10. Breaking in, however, landed him on an unfortunate predicament, or in this case, landed on him.
King broke in through the back door of the tire shop, according to police. Right after entering, a rack of tires that stood right on the other side of the door fell on him.
Unable to get out, the 30-year-old resorted to dialing 911 because no one was around during the incident; he entered the shop when it was closed.
“As the suspect made entry, as he came inside the business, the tires fell on top of him trapping him inside,” Micheal Bettikofer of the Cartersville Police Department was quoted as saying.
“I think the tire rack is going to kill me,” King told the dispatcher as per report. An officer then rushed to the scene and found King desperately shouting for help.
“He observed the suspect underneath the tires yelling for help,” Bettikofer added. “The officer was eventually able to make entry to that business and get the tires off him and get him out.”
After being rescued, King told authorities that he was only there because someone was chasing him. Police however said that there was no evidence of him being chased.
King was reportedly not injured and is now being held in jail. He faces criminal trespass charges. Ian Biong/JB
