DFA suspends consular offices’ operations in Calabarzon, NCR, C. Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday suspended operations in its consular offices in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon in the wake of Taal Volcano’s eruption.

In an advisory, the DFA – Office of the Consular Affairs said the suspension of operations is in line with the directive from the Office of the President.

Applicants with confirmed appointments who are unable to avail of consular services will be accommodated until Thursday in regular office hours, according to DFA.

DFA Assistant Secretary Eduardo Meñez said operations will resume on Tuesday until further notice.
