PRC: Nearly 800 devotees seek medical help midway Traslacion 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Nearly 800 individuals have so far been treated by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) as the Traslacion of the Black Nazarene moves towards Concepcion Aguila Street in the city of Manila by Thursday afternoon.

In an advisory posted in its Twitter account, PRC said its medical teams have so far catered to a total of 775 individuals as of 1 p.m., almost 9 hours since the procession started from the Quirino Grandstand.

PRC noted that 527 individuals were given blood pressure consultation while 200 patients suffered from dizziness, shortness of breath, elevated blood pressure, abrasion, laceration, and sprain.

Twelve patients with minor medical cases were treated on-site and seven patients were safely transported to Ospital ng Maynila and Jose Reyes Memorial medical center, PRC reported, adding that its welfare unit conducted psychosocial first aid to a total of 29 individuals.
