MANILA, Philippines — A couple got engaged during the Traslacion of the Black Nazarene on Thursday.

Kim Noel Yamat said he proposed to his girlfriend Mary Joie Flores during the Traslacion since they are both devotees of the Black Nazarene, according to a tweet by the Manila Public Information Office (MPIO).

Yamat and Flores are among the over two million devotees who joined the Traslacion of the Black Nazarene’s venerated image, as of early Thursday.
