Did You Know: January is Zero Waste Month

January was declared Zero Waste Month by virtue of Proclamation No. 760 signed on May 5, 2014 by then President Benigno Aquino III.

According to the proclamation, “zero waste” is an advocacy that promotes designing and managing products and processes to systematically avoid and eliminate the volume and toxicity of waste and materials.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
