2 drown in Baler Bay

BALER, Aurora—Two men drowned in Baler Bay here on Thursday, police said.

Supt. Ervin Gumban, Aurora police director, said the victims—Crisostomo Salvosa, 57, and Christopher Baguilan, 33, both from Quezon City—were with a group that included some foreigners who went for a swim in Barangay Dikasalarin.

Police said the wife of Baguilan, identified as Ana, was rescued.

“Residents said they advised the group not to swim because the waves were high. The weather’s like there was a storm,” Gumban said.
