TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon—A drunken man was killed after he was hit by a train as he slept on the side of the rail track in Tagkawayan, Quezon, according to police.
PO2 Nestor Lantin, of the town police, said Nehl Joseph Eustaquio, 21, of Tagkawayan, was asleep on the rail track’s side when a Bicol-bound train passed early Saturday.
Eustaquio was dead on the spot.
Lantin quoted investigators as saying Eustaquio had a drinking binge with friends at a holiday party in Tagkawayan. Delfin T. Mallari Jr.
