Pagasa: Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon or “Amihan” will bring cloudy skies with a chance of rains over Metro Manila and other Luzon provinces, the state weather bureau said Friday.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the Amihan will bring cloudy skies with light scattered rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains was forecast over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon also due to the northeast monsoon.
The tail end of a cold front, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with rains and isolated thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Quezon province, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro.
Pagasa said that Davao Region, Soccskargen, Maguindanao, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone.
Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Palawan and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau added.
