BAGUIO CITY—The Baguio police could file an assault case against a cabbie who was caught on video apparently trying to run over a police officer to elude a traffic citation ticket on Tuesday (Dec. 31).

The video showed the taxicab moving forward several times appearing to chase the policeman, Patrolman Julius Walang, who blocked the cab’s way on Abanao Street which leads to the  Baguio police office and City Hall.

Walang held tightly on the hood of the taxicab when it briefly accelerated, the video showed.
