Commuters get free MRT rides on Rizal Day
MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will be giving commuters free rides on certain hours on Monday, December 30, as the country commemorates the 123rd martyrdom of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal.
In a Twitter post, the MRT-3 management announced that free rides could be availed from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bilang paggunita sa buhay ng ating pambansang bayani na si Gat Jose Rizal, magkakaroon ng libreng sakay sa MRT-3 mula 7:00AM hanggang 9:00AM at 5:00PM hanggang 7:00PM, ngayong araw, 30 Disyembre 2019.

Malacañang has declared December 30 as a regular holiday to mark the anniversary of Rizal’s execution at Bagumbayan in Manila in 1986.
