MANILA, Philippines — Twelve personnel at an English language school in Pasig City were hospitalized on Saturday afternoon after accidentally inhaling Freon gas allegedly from a malfunctioned air conditioning unit, authorities said Sunday.

A report from Major Mike Barayuga of Pasig Bureau of Fire Protection, said the victims were eight women and four men, aged 20 to 39 years old.

In a phone interview with Pasig police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr., the employees of the school along Ortigas Avenue suffered from dizziness and vomiting after breathing in the toxic gas allegedly from the malfunctioned aircon at around 4 p.m.
