MANILA, Philippines — A total of 46 fireworks-related injuries has so far been recorded days ahead of the New Year, the Department of Health (DOH) said Sunday.

The number of cases recorded from December 21 to December 29, 2019 is the same as in 2018, but 64 percent lower from the five-year average, DOH noted.

The injuries were all due to fireworks, and no stray bullet injuries or firework ingestion cases have been reported. The DOH said there also have been no deaths.
