MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) is the most trusted government agency, the latest Pulse Asia survey released Saturday showed.
The Pulse Asia survey, conducted from December 3 to 8, revealed that the DOH got an 80 percent trust rating.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) came in second with a 75 percent trust rating followed by the Philippine National Police (PNP) with 72 percent trust rating.
Health chief Secretary Francisco Duque III also earned the top spot for performance with a 74 percent approval rating.
Duque was followed by Education Secretary Leonor Briones with 67 percent approval rating and Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Bautista with a 61 percent approval rating.
“I congratulate the entire DOH workforce, officials and employees alike, for their dedication and commitment Without their untiring and selfless efforts in improving our health services and making these felt by the people, we would not have earned the people’s trust,” Duque said Saturday in a statement.
The Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ranked first in performance with both 85 percent rating, while the DOH ranked second with an 83 percent rating.
“With this good news, we are all exhilarated to deliver Universal Health Care and provide responsive, accessible, and quality health services to every Filipino. Maraming salamat sa inyong pagtitiwala,” Duque said.
