Former actress arrested in Christmas Day drug sting
MANILA, Philippines — Instead of celebrating the Christmas season with joy, former sexy actress Jenny Roa or Jennifer Kiilsgaard was arrested following a drug buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Wednesday, Christmas Day.
The 45-year-old Roa was arrested with 49-year-old Norman Viña in Barangay 42 Zone 6, Pasay City, at around 9:50 p.m., police said.
The case investigator, Cpl. Jett Morillo, Roa, whose name was on the police drug watchlist, was the target of the entrapment operation.
Before that, she was placed under surveillance for a week with informants later telling the police that she openly sold shabu in public.
“She did not care whether [she and Viña] were seen by children and elders. It’s as if she was not scared of anyone (walang iniilagan).”
On Christmas Day, Roa placed the drugs she was selling inside an angpao — a red envelope used for money that is given away during the Chinese New Year or Christmas.
Police seized from the pair four sachets of shabu weighing 4.6 grams with a street value of P31,280.
Although both Roa and Viña denied selling drugs, they were arrested and detained at the Pasay City Police Station for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Roa rose to fame in the early 1990s, playing supporting roles in films like “Tag-araw, Tag-ulan” (1992),“Boy Praning: Utak Pulbura” (1992), “Tikboy Tikas at mga Khroaks Boys” (1993), and “Manila Boy” (1993).
