More police sent to Albay this Christmas season

LEGAZPI CITY –– Hundreds of policemen were deployed in the urbanized towns and cities of Albay to ensure peace and security this Christmas season.

The deployment of additional policemen would beef up the present police force assigned in the 15 towns and three cities of the province, said Capt. Dexter Panganiban, spokesman of the Albay police.

He said they were fielding additional policemen in places of

convergence, such as malls, hotels, churches, airports, seaports, terminals and tourist destinations.

This is to discourage lawless elements from committing crimes against persons and properties.

Panganiban also asked motorists to be disciplined and follow

traffic rules to minimize or ensure a “zero-traffic accident.”

“We likewise appeal to everyone to continue supporting us in all our efforts against all forms of lawlessness,” he said./lzb
