MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa said on Saturday he was considering traveling to the United States to find out if he would be denied entry.

Dela Rosa was reacting to a news report saying that US authorities canceled his visa because of his leadership in the government’s bloody drug war when he was still chief of the Philippine National Police.

“I am not sure because I haven’t received any official commo [communication] coming from US authorities,” Dela Rosa said in a text message.

According to recent government records, the number of drug suspects killed in anti-drug operations were 5,552 from July 2016 to Nov. 30 this year.
