Shabu seized, 3 suspects held in Zamboanga buy-bust
A kilogram of suspected crystal meth or shabu was seized from three drug suspects in a buy-bust operation on Thursday evening.
A report of Edgar T. Jubay, acting director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 9, showed that the illegal substance is worth P6.8 million.
PDEA agents and members of the Zamboanga City police conducted the operation in a pension house along Gov. Camins Avenue around 8 p.m.
The confiscated substance was wrapped in white transparent vacuum-sealed plastic and was further placed in a tea pack.
Jubay identified the arrested suspects as Nurhasan Tawasil Atari, male, 31, of Sta. Barbara, Zamboanga City; Nur-hati Imlan Ajibon, female, 42, of Tubig Tanah, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi; and Edzmer A. Mangsan, male, 26, of Purok 7, Mampang, Zamboanga City.
Another suspect identified as Issa fled, said Jubay.
Cases for violation of the dangerous drugs law would be filed against the three suspects, Jubay added./lzb
