MANILA, Philippines — The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Palawan and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned residents of the said areas to watch out for possible flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan.”
Residents of coastal and mountainous areas will experience windy conditions, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by the northeast monsoon, while the Visayas and the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
