Northeast monsoon seen to bring light rainshowers over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon and the tail-end of a cold front will bring rainshowers over parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Tuesday afternoon.
The state weather bureau said the northeast monsoon, more commonly known as Amihan, is seen to bring cloudy skies with light rainshowers over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora province.
The tail-end of a cold front, meanwhile, is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers over Bicol Region and Quezon province.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience generally fair weather with isolated rainshowers, Pagasa said.
Gale warning has been raised over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, northern coast of Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Aurora, eastern coast of Quezon including Polilio Island, Camarines Norte, northern and eastern coast of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and eastern coast of Sorsogon.
Pagasa warned of waves with height of up to 4.5 meters.
