MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon is seen to bring cloudy skies with light rainshowers over parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau reported Monday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon, more popularly known as Amihan, will affect Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos province, and Aurora province.
Meanwhile, the tail-end of a cold front is expected to bring scattered rainshowers with thunderstorm in Bicol Region, Samar provinces, and Quezon province.
The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, will experience generally fair weather.
Gale warning has been issued over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Bataan, Zambales, Aurora, eastern coast of Quezon including Polilio Island, Camarines Norte, northern and eastern coast of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, eastern coast of Sorsogon, and northern and eastern coast of Samar provinces.
Pagasa said waves are expected to be as high as five meters.
