MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon, more popularly known as amihan, will bring cloudy skies with light rain showers over parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Sunday afternoon.
The state weather bureau said the northeast monsoon will affect Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Meanwhile, the tail-end of a cold front will also bring cloudy skies and scattered showers over the Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and Quezon province.
The rest of Luzon will have generally fair weather, Pagasa said.
Pagasa has also raised gale warning over various areas in the country — Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Isabela, Zambales, Aurora, eastern coast of Quezon including Polilio Island, western coast of Palawan, Camarines Norte, northern and eastern coast of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, and northern coast of Northern Samar and Eastern Samar.
