Labor dep’t eyes deportation of 126 illegal aliens
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment will recommend the deportation of 126 foreign nationals who were employed in the Philippine offshore gaming operations without the necessary work permits.
Bureau of Local Employment director Dominique Tutay said they were about to submit the names of these foreign nationals to the Bureau of Immigration for not possessing the necessary alien employment permit.
But apart from the 126 foreign nationals, Tutay bared that the bureau was still validating the status of an undisclosed number of foreign nationals working without permits. —Tina G. Santos
