Teacher held for shabu in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY –– A public school teacher was arrested by police in a drug bust in this city on Monday night.

Eufemio Bantugan, 49, a resident of  Barangay Taloto in Tagbilaran City, was collared at past 7 p.m. after allegedly selling a pack of shabu worth P500 to an undercover policeman in Purok 2 in Graham Avenue, Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.

Seized from Bantugan were three small sachets of shabu worth about P81,600.

The Tagbilaran police said Bantugan was a high-value target.

He had been under surveillance for several weeks after the police received a report that the teacher was selling illegal drugs.

The suspect is detained at the city police station pending the filing of drug charges against him.
