LUCENA CITY –– The top official of the military’s Southern Luzon Command (Solcom) assured Typhoon “Tisoy” victims of full assistance.

“Your soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines of Southern Luzon are ready to assist you and your families when needed,” Lt. General Gilbert Gapay, Solcom commander said in a statement posted on his Facebook Tuesday.

Gapay had ordered all units under Solcom to remain on full alert, ready to coordinate and provide support to all government agencies in the rescue, relief, and other operations.

He advised typhoon victims particularly those in the coastal and low-lying areas to cooperate with government agencies who would bring them to safer areas and relocation sites where government and other concerned groups are extending support.
