MANILA, Philippines — In a bid to decongest traffic on C3-Radial Road 10 (R10) due to simultaneous construction work, the Navotas City government will implement a limited truck ban on selected roads beginning in January.

Mayor Toby Tiangco said the reinforced concrete box culvert (RCBC) flood control project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on North Bay Boulevard would coincide with the roadwork needed to complete the North Luzon Expressway Harbor Link Segment 10.

With the DPWH unable to finish the Harbor Link project by this month, construction may be extended until February.
Under Executive Order No. TMT-029, a limited truck ban will be implemented starting Jan. 1 on C3, R10 and North Bay Boulevard between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We are expecting that the simultaneous construction of Harbor Link and RCBC will cause heavier traffic. The limited truck ban will decongest traffic which will ease our commuters’ trip,” Tiangco said.
